Glazed Maple-Pecan Oatmeal Scones

I've got a lot of baking to do in the next week.  I've promised about 20 of my co-workers I'd give them each a mini-batch of homemade goodies in exchange for registering for the Fannie Mae Help the Homeless Walk (you should participate, too!).

I've already got a three mini loaves of Butternut Squash and Ginger Bread stashed away.  I'll also make Brown Butter Flapjacks and Butterscotch Chocolate Oatmeal Bars.  Today's contribution are these outrageously tasty scones. These people are lucky.

glad I bought the large bag of pecans - there'll be more of these made in the near future

be careful not to overwork the dough - it will affect the tenderness of the scone
this dough looks SO healthy...look at the colors of the ground pecans and oats - both of which are toasted

making the glaze is a breeze - keeping the scones around 'til you get to the glaze is the hard part
yea, these people are definitely lucky
